Branching on from my recent thread regarding an ancient PowerBook G4, I still find the version of iTunes that it uses (9.2.1) very useful even if it does not function very well. I use it for converting audio files into high-quality mp3 files (with the excellent LAME attachment) and for actually downloading Podcasts.
I have the use of a rather more modern MacBook which is currently still running 10.7 and which will soon be hopefully fully updated. I know that this will currently run LAME with the version of iTunes on that. What I don't know is: If the LAME software will still work with the most recent iTunes version and if you can still download to an mp3 file podcasts? Can someone confirm these things, please?
