Hello All - Latest update is that Dropbox have restored all my files for me. Which is good, because the nightmare scenario would have been losing everything or my having to restore a zillion files individually, which would just exacerbate my RSI.
This brings me to a request about Time Machine, which I don’t use because I just get a message about it not having worked on current machines. Tried 2 Seagate Backup Plus drives from Amazon on MBP 2012, bought earlier this year. Got the message on both (even though Sam had magnificently checked remotely that everything was working as it should). Returned Seagates, got WD 1TB Elements, formatted it, ran Time Machine, got same message. Thought it might be the MBP itself, so I’ve passed that one onto my partner, and I have a refurbished 2016 MBP, bought from Apple. Ran Time Machine and got the same message. Anyway, while I was on the Apple website I saw that time machine capsules <https://www.apple.com/uk/search/time-capsule?src=globalnav> were a thing. They look good. Any advice?
