Rob,

I never use a physically ‘click’ on any of my track pads (i have about 6 I use 
of a regular basis) - too much effort.

Instead I use tap to click - one of the options in Trackpad preferences.

Then to ‘drag' a window where you normally need to hold down a physical click, 
go to preferences, accessibility then select mouse & tracked, on the "Trackpad 
Options…" you can enable dragging without a physical click required by using 
1.5 taps (like a double tap but keep your finger on the track pad after the 
second tap), I find this much easier.

Credit to Stephen for telling me about this some time ago.
