Hi folks
Sympathy to all those with mobility issues from someone with an
erratically unreliable leg. I just (accidentally) bought a case for the
iPad from Griffin that sticks to the fridge or metal surface so if you
had a suitable surface, would be able to leave it 'mounted' and operate
it by siri (as long as you turn off the passcode etc). I know iPads
aren't that heavy but I know that if you're struggling even bending to
pick them up etc can be really difficult.

Hi Gilly -
I have osteoarthritis in both knees and also live in a house with lots
of stairs. I have found having an iPad Mini 4 to be invaluable. It’s
also very lightweight, so is good for my work-related RSI in my hands.
Best wishes (and lots of positive healing thoughts your way).

Gilly, I am very sorry to hear this. It must be a real pain - in
every way. For what it is worth, I would go for an iPad. It is
light, dead easy to use, and there hardly anything you can’t do on
or with it. It will print via WiFi to a printer, you can watch films
on it, write emails, etc. I couldn’t live without mine. Best
wishes, and do keep us posted on your progress. Virginia

Hi everyone,
I am suffering from a fractured thigh (a spontaneous break caused by
osteoporosis) and cannot easily go up and down stairs. As my iMac is
upstairs, I feel the need for a second computer to keep downstairs.
My computer use is confined to email, shopping, web-surfing and
playing Lexulous.
I would be grateful for advice as to whether I should buy an iPad or
a Macbook.
Best regards,
Gilly
