I second both options. If you can get ethernet, it'll fix it, and I've done Sam's ethernet/Devolo combo with good success.
My Devolo is struggling in current house but I think it's because the wiring is awful! A stronger, better main WiFi router is likely to solve it for me, perhaps you too? Good luck!
