The LED light on the camera is hardcoded into the operation of the camera, so 
it’s not physically possible to activate it without the LED light switching on, 
which would alert you. Taping over the camera won’t disable the microphone 
either as that’s around the keyboard area.

Some NDAs stipulate you have to cover cameras but it personal choice really. I 
don’t bother, if anyone who wants to look at my gormless face for hours on end 
then I say good luck to them.
