Is it asking you to log in as a user on that computer? That's what
happens here.
If this doesn't work or the user permissions get too finicky for this
task, try Resilio Sync (https://www.resilio.com/individuals/) which
works on Mac and iOS and doesn't upload them to someone else's server
first as would eg Dropbox, iCloud

Morning all
I suspect this is easy, but new terrain for me!
We've an pre-Airdrop capable iMac, and occurs to me the easiest way to
send
500Mb of photos to it (can't find our USB stick at the moment!) is
some
sort of local folder.
I've setup such a folder in 'Sharing' on the iMac. The MacBook can see
it,
but asks for a 'Name and password for the server' - but we don't have
a
password on it.
It won't let me in as Guest either.
Any tips. Must be something obvious?!
Also, a strange 'pnhub1' has now appeared in the same window, which I
presume is all part of it?!
Any tips appreciated. Just discovered that one can share DVD drives
and
files and all sorts this way, which just seems brilliant to me (and
will be
very useful if I can make it work!)
Thanks again and hope SMUGGER gardens appreciate the drop of rain,
Adam
