Hi Tony, Well my Airport Express looks like yours but I think it’s a very early model and definitely won’t work with the current Airpot Utility V6, which is the only one that’s El Capitan (and later) compatible. I know that for a fact ‘cause I’ve tried it (with the Airport Express reset) and the Aiport Utility reports that the Airport Express is incompatible. So my Airport Express is basically a paperweight.
The one I’m thinking about getting is this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232933044298?ul_noapp=true. But even though it may well work, the NAS speed I’ll get over Wifi may well render it pointless (although I’ll be using it for is shuffling archive data around). My other option might be to get a couple of network over mains thing-a-ma-bobs, but money is very tight in these parts so I’m trying to do this without spending much more than the price of a posh coffee.
