If you had an appletv I think you could tell that to send the audio to the
express. We have it stream to Bluetooth headphones sometimes.
But you keep saying dongle so I suspect you dont want to use appletv;)

Currently we use airplay to play audio over the stereo via our AirPort Express.
If we had a monitor and connected a dongle which supports AirPlay 2 to it, how
to we hear the sound from any video we display on the monitor? Can Airplay 2
send the video to the monitor and sound to the AirPort Express at the same time?
