Hi everyone

I believe iTunes is expecting a major overhaul soonish so you could wait for
now. I too am sick of songs disappearing from my hard drive (I have an
elaborate back up system) and crap like movies being rebranded tv shows. All
the alternatives I’ve found are sound-focussed.

The only thing that might work is DEVONthink but it’s a document manager -
might be expensive for your needs and you’d need to spend a bit of time getting
used to it (eg indexing rather than importing). Also it sits on top of Finder
attributes (so if you rearrrange stuff in devonthink that doesn’t mean it’s
changed in Finder). What exactly are you trying to do, just have them in
orderly folders?

Imazing might export from the device into neat folders if that’s the case.

Thanks,

     -Jason

  Hi all,

I wondered if anyone had an alternative to iTunes that I could use to manage my
music collection? I've inherited a perfectly serviceable 120GB iPod and - for
reasons I won't go into - I can't face the rigmarole involved in using iTunes
to get my music onto it.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Thanks

Rob
