One way is to launch Activity Monitor from the Applications/Utilities folder and ensure it has a column showing 32/64 bit and then sort by that column.
One app I have, Doxie scanner software was a 64 bit app but had a 32bit helper app. Thankfully they updated it the day Catalina was released.
