The different DVI cable seems tricky as that presumably means trying to 
source something on eBay? There's lots of cables 'in one' and the brick 
itself.

I'll return the adaptor to Amazon and take it from there maybe. Just didn't 
want to go to that trouble if it's not the adaptor given the HDMI and USB 
2.0 parts work fine. Could it be the DVI 'gubbins' inside is the problem do 
yoou think? Just seems a little unlikely....?!
