Good morning smugglers,

This is not exactly a Mac issue but I’m intrigued and kind of worried about
this phenomena.

I was in bed this morning reading my newspaper on my iPad and I suddenly lost
my Wi-Fi connection. That’s not a drama in itself of course, and after a bit it
reconnected. But then I realised that my bed was heating up and that my
electric blanket had turned on. When I went downstairs to make a cup of tea my
three smart lights had also turned on in the living room.

I can understand the smart lights turning on as they are controlled by the
Wi-Fi, but the electric blanket is plugged into the mains with a controlling
switch for timing and temperature, one on each side, no connection, as far as I
know, with the Wi-Fi.

Can anyone offer any explanation of what might cause this to happen?

Thanks,
Derek
