Afternoon All,

I’m trying to recover my loyal old broken 2010 MacBook by starting it up and
re-installing its system from an external drive. I’ve created a High Sierra
boot drive from the instructions here
(https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201372) and things look promising as it
starts the process of installing a system on the internal drive (SSD). But each
time it gets to “about 2 minutes" of finishing I get the attached screenshot.
I’ve tried two different install drives and the MacBook internal drive appears
to be fine (as far as Disk Utility is concerned). Is the MacBook toast do we
think?

Phil
