I reckon you can save about 30% by buying an SSD and fitting in an enclosure against buying the complete deal from Samsung, WD, Seagate or similar. Will it remain reliable and last long? That remains to be seen. But I liked the idea of recycling laptops and computers sans storage as there is no possibility of any data being recovered by others.
