"When you reformatted the SSD to HFS+ Journaled, what was the drive capacity after formatting? How large is your Photos library?"
As far as I remember it was still 1TB. Thee Photos Library is around 5-600 gb but has inexplicably increased to 900 gb leaving me only 88 gb on the SSD (according to daisy Disk scan).
