I’m a very long time 1 password user, but haven’t moved to the subscription model. Years ago before iCloud Keychain was a thing it’s biggest draw was to sync your passwords across multiple computers and iPhone, also a big plus was was windows compatibility.
As others have already said the polish and quality are good and worth money but it is definitely worth keeping an eye on the competition! Keeps the 1Password team on their toes... If I were coming fresh to the password management party then iCloud Keychain is indeed very compelling and free, also don’t forget that browsers also have their own good password managers built in now which sync across devices. The reasons to pay for a password manager are shrinking as the available good free alternatives are very good now. much less a subscription model On Sat, 24 Oct 2020 at 16:11, 'Stephen Watson' via Sussex Mac User Group < [email protected]> wrote: > Interesting to hear all this discussion. > > I’ve used 1P for years and years and think it’s really impresssive, but > I’m reluctant to buy the latest when Apple seem to be continually improving > keychain and it’s totally integrated into all my devices for free. > > I keep more than just logins and passwords there but as you say Sam, there > are always locked notes as well for those other items. > > More thinking required I can tell! > > Stephen > > You meet your destiny on the road you take to avoid it. ~ Carl Jung > > On 24 Oct 2020, at 15:50, Sam - MacAmbulance <[email protected]> > wrote: > > Me too, and I just lock notes in the default Notes app for other stuff. > > > > *_* > > Regards > Sam Mullen > > +44 (0)7747778022 <//+447747778022> > [email protected] > www.macambulance.com > [image: MacAmbulance]MacAmbulance Ltd.Providing Affordable Mac/PC Support > and Web Development > > MacAmbulance Ltd. is a registered company in England & Wales, registration > number 8466597 > > This email is intended solely for the addressed recipients and may contain > privileged or confidential information. > > If you have received this email in error please notify the sender and > delete the email immediately. > > > On 24 Oct 2020, at 11:01, 'Jason P.
