It was a 2014 MacBook. SMC and Pram reset was done. When it booted into selecting a boot device no WiFi was selectable and no WiFi settings in recovery partition either. If I selected my USB boot drive I just got a no entry sign. In recovery I even tried adding a network connection via terminal without success.
To verify that I was doing things correctly I tried the same things on a similar age MacBook Air and it worked as expected there. I returned it to the owner now. Thanks anyway 🙂 Adam Field CertHE Cert. Legal Studies (Open) Dip. Eng. Law (Open) This message was sent from a mobile device so please excuse any punctuation or spelling mistakes.
