Hi peeps, In case you’re interested my conclusion to a post from a few weeks back ...
If your HomePods are set as the default audio output of your Apple TV, then if your Apple TV is unplugged you can stream from your device to the HomePods but if you ask Siri to play something you will be disappointed. With this setup, the Airplay icon is AppleTV with two HomePods. If your HomePods are NOT set as the default audio output of your Apple TV, then if your Apple TV is unplugged you can stream from your device to the HomePods and if you ask Siri to play something it will work. With this setup, there are two Airplay icons - AppleTV and another with two HomePods. As it’s a matter of moments to set the HomePods as the audio output (not the default) of Apple TV, we’ve left it set this way until Apple fix what I regard as a bug 🐛 Stephen You meet your destiny on the road you take to avoid it. ~ Carl Jung -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
