If this is only a problem with just the one email message then it suggests it is the content of the email causing this. If it happens on both iPad and Mac then it must be the content. If it happens with all email messages and is only a problem on your iPad then resolving it requires knowing the version of iOS/iPadOS you have on the iPad. And the OS version you have is?
