Thanks to Federico Viticci over at MacStories.net I came across this app about 3 weeks ago. It is totally brilliant and unlike anything I’ve seen. It’s not a game, it’s a charming, inspired, playful, creative, smile inducing toy. It runs on the Mac via Steam and can also be downloaded for iOS and iPadOS. Using copy to clipboard and load from clipboard you can move your designs between devices if you have Apple’s Handoff enabled. There are no instructions so it’s a journey of experimentation. The only thing I would say is explore the grid before you place a piece. Other than that, enjoy the discovery. You can find it as Townscaper and here’s a little video on YouTube.
