Thanks for all suggestions. On balance I'm not sure if I'm overegging this pudding and perhaps a paper diary and pen is best. I see Moleskine do a SmartPen and diary which is interesting and exactly what I'd like, but I'm not convinced it's just a fad and unlikely to stick around for long.
