If you’re on Mojave and have 32bit apps running, like office 2011, you’ll need 
to upgrade to the latest version of that app to run under anything after macOS 
Catalina.

Monterey’s on 12.3 now so they’ve fixed most of the problems, I’d say make sure 
you have a time machine backup just in case you want to revert, but it’s likely 
to be fine to upgrade.
