Not to argue with Sam but if it got wet in the rain, I wouldn't put it anywhere near the electric supply!

I jogged past an discarded iMac a couple of days running and felt sorry for it so have rescued it. The screen is broken and is coming away from the rest of it. I've checked the serial number and it's an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) - big and heavy!! I have an earlier iMac (no longer using) and the 3 pin plug seems to fit. Would it be unwise to try and turn it on? What would be the best 'happy ending' for this machine? Will Apple be interested in it for recycling?
