Sounds like a hardware fault with the LCD, is it 21 or 27”?

-- I have been trying to get rid of a thin black line that has appeared slightly right of centre on my iMac screen. I have Googled it and tried all the recommended solutions - software update, reboot, reset SMC, reset NVRAM (both of which seem to be a complicated way of saying "turn it off and on again"). Nothing works. Can anyone advise? It's a 2017 Intel iMac. Phil T
