Hi,
Not sure if this is it or even accurate, but I read somewhere that some battery
makers coat the batteries with a bitter tasting clear lacquer with a view to
preventing children putting them in their mouths and swallowing them.
The air tags are apparently particularly sensitive to this and it can prevent
the battery “Connecting”

Hi lovely people,

I got a notification at the weekend that my AirTag’s battery was low and would
need replacing soon. I had an unopened pack of the required batteries so popped
up the road and replaced it. When I next checked I was surprised to see that it
now shows a red low battery and “Replace battery” and it still says the same
today from 15 minutes ago.

Any ideas as to what is going on? (The pack says “Best before June 2024”)

Cheers,
Stephen
