I think it might be an iCloud filtering issue as I’ve had two clients report this today. It’ll most likely resolve itself
Hi peeps,
-- This is weird. Until yesterday everything was fine. Then I opened the YouTube app to watch a video and all looked fine, except where the video should be was blank/black though everything else looks perfectly normal. I’ve tried tapping on loads of other videos but all show as black in the main display area. I closed and re-opened the app but it was just the same. I restarted my iPad but just the same. I deleted and re-installed the app but just the same. I can go to the YouTube web site in Arc Search and watch any video but it keeps saying that my browser doesn’t support full screen so they only take up about half the screen. I thought I would see if Safari would play them in full screen (my default browser is Arc search) and Safari will no longer load any web page! The existing open tabs show nothing and refreshing a page just jams and shows nothing. Viewing the same screen in Arc Search works fine. I also had a new email shortcut that just brought up the email compose window to send an email without the distractions. I’ve used it before but now when I click in the “To:” box but now no typing has any effect! Also, I’ve just found in mail that any images don’t appear just image placeholder with a blue question mark. I’ve also spotted in Mail, at the top of the window that it says: “Your Network setting prevent loading content privately” with a “Load content” button underneath. If I tap it the images re-appear! 🙂 This must be connected but I’ve no idea what network settings have changed - we haven’t altered the router or my iPad network settings. Finally, the YouTube app works fine on my iPhone so what I have done to my iPad settings!? It seems like something is blocking all this and if I find out what it will all work again but it’s a mystery just now. Any help appreciated.
