Hello Virginia, Review ‘Settings > Sounds & Haptics’ and make sure the sounds there are set as you wish.
Next, check ‘Settings > Notifications’ , review the general settings at the top and then scroll down to review the individual settings for each app of interest. Finally, ensure that you don’t have a Focus mode active which is blocking those Notifications and also check that your iPhone isn’t on Silent and/or Do Not Disturb. I hope that helps.
