Here are a set of instructions given you have snapcraft installed on
your system:
git clone https://github.com/sergiusens/snapcraft.git
cd snapcraft
git checkout python-plugin-improvements
alias snapcraft=$(pwd)/bin/snapcraft
cd <your-project-dir>
snapcraft
