Thanks for the replies. Would it be easier for now just to create a squashfs out of a prepared directory manually?
>From what I see I do not need commands created by snapcraft out of daemon definitions. The rest looks like it is copied as is and snapcraft.yaml just got arch field added into snap.yaml. As you can see we are not really using any snapcraft feature except archiving.
