hi all,
i have a few questions regarding the baviour of the configuration option

if i do
snap set "mySnap" "myOption=77
everthing works as expected. i can read the option with snap get or in the
configuration hook with snapctl get.
after snap remove "mySnap" i still can access the option i set before.

is this the desired baviour?

Nope, thats https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1636934
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1636934>

where are these values stored?

/var/lib/snapd/state.json

whats the best way for setting default values for the intial setup?

A request for an install time hook is discussed in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapd/+bug/1661126
Until then your snap or configure hook will need to provide the logic.
