I can understand the desire but this would lead to an incredible increase in complexity -- users would then expect to be able to use e.g. dpkg --purge or rpm -e to remove these packages, and then snapd would need to be made aware of changes made via other tools, and concurrent operations kicked off with different tools would be a disaster to try to coordinate. They are different types of packages, they live in different portions of the filesystem namespace, and they have different purposes, so I think they should be kept separate. Thanks
