I haven't actually delved into the internals of ubuntu-device-flash, but I
noticed this error in our own qemu arm chroots so imagine it is caused by
the same (above) issue.
As far as I know (Sergio will correct me if I'm wrong :) there is a
new version of ubuntu-device-flash almost ready that avoids using
qemu-arm and uses a new feature in snappy-go instead that allows
setting alternative root dirs for working with snaps.
This is correct, I'll provide an update as soon as this is in and it should
be no later than Monday morning.
