you might want to build your own image:

this is the device part for a raspberry2 using the original raspy2 BSP
rebased on the 3.19 V ubuntu kernel[1].

ubuntu-device-flash core -o my-snappy.img --size 4 \
--channel ubuntu-core/devel-proposed --device generic_armhf \
--device-part=device-pi2-3.19-bcm2709.tar.xz --enable-ssh --developer-mode

i'll add u-boot to the device-part as soon as i'm back on tuesday.
