Also, I would suggest that you start by prototyping that as an x86 snap
on your laptop or cloud image. You can use a classic deb-based system to
build the snap, which is far more comfortable than a pure snap Core
system initially.

Start out by building the snap and running it in --devmode to avoid the
complications of confinement security.

Then, you can start working out the confinement, and publish the snap as
a stable one. Also, you can trivially rebuild it on RaspPi for ARM.
