Sex, lies and bedroom demons
WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- New Zealanders who believe in bedroom demons may be
right: A new worldwide sex survey shows two-thirds of New Zealand women have
faked an orgasm. The Wellington Dominion Post said that figure is well above
the international average of 48 percent. New Zealanders said they had sex on
average 130 times a year, more than the 127 global average and well ahead of
the Australians who managed only 125 such events annually. The results were
compiled by condom manufacturer Durex, which surveyed 150,000 people from 34
countries. Two in three people participating in the survey said they had had a
one-night stand and 13 percent admitted sleeping with their best friend's
partner. Five percent reported sleeping with their boss and 13 percent had
slept with someone of the same sex. In Australia, more than 17 percent said
they were involved in a gay or lesbian relationship, together with America the
highest proportion of same-sex relationships in the world.
