Middle-Age Chic

DAVID E. Kelly has gone and done the unthinkable on TV. He's made a show about three middle-aged, fat, men.

This from the man who brought us anorexic TV ("Ally McBeal") and gorgeous-young-things TV ("Boston Public," and "girl's club").

His daring new show, with the difficult title "The Brotherhood of Poland, N.H.," is about three brothers in a small town.

One brother, Hank (Randy Quaid), is the police captain prone to violence; another, Garrett (John Carroll Lynch), is the mayor prone to violence; and the third brother, Waylon (Chris Penn), is loveable, unemployed and more prone to tears than violence.
