Gemstar-TV Guide is working with Nielsen Media Research on a system that 
could deliver information from digital settop receivers to produce ratings 
information on programs and commercials, MediaPost's Media Daily reported 
on its website today (Wednesday). An executive of the company said that an 
upcoming trial, to be conducted in ten of Nielsen's top 50 markets, would 
gather information from 550 boxes installed in at least 300 homes.
