My band director was
old. He didnt wanna get up that early, not to mention alot of the kids
couldnt get to school that time of the morning and he knew it. But we
practiced for about 2 hours every Mon, Tues and Thurs and for an hour on
Saturdays, unless we had a competition

oooh! lucky! we had it before school... school started at
7:45am so we had to get there at 6:45am :-P sucked! Sometimes
practice after lunch too and always after school

right after lunch and then we only practiced again at night after
school.

Werent you in band Charles? Band/colorguard had to get
to school at 7am for practice :-P so it was like
7am-2:46pm... not 2:45 or 2:50 or anything normal like that
but no it had to be exactly 2:46 LoL we had 2 10 minute
breaks and a 30 minutes for lunch...

Yes
we had a morning break, then lunch......then a afternoon
break. The afternoon break was half a hour......that was in
Arkansas and Louisiana both. I went the first half of 9th
grade in Arkansas, the rest in Louisiana...thru graduation.
Both states gave afternoon breaks......I thought everyone
got them. lol

We
only had a coke machine and it was in the boys locker room,
or at least right outside of it. So the girls could only use
it when the guys werent in the gym. My kids have a snack bar
in their school now, but they only open it after school so
they can get a drink and a snack on the way home. But at
least they are still getting a healthy lunch and not eating
from the snack bar or vending machines. They also have a
vending machine that has fruit juice, water and gatorade
that they can use anytime. I just havent had my kids ask me
for money for it yet. They only ask for $1 to get a drink
and a snack after school, then they still come home and have
a sandwich or a bowl of
soup.
