Rapper wanted in Teaneck

TEANECK, N.J. -- Rapper Lil'Kim has a long-due engagement in Teaneck, N.J., she probably wishes she didn't have to keep. Police in that town have an outstanding arrest warrant with the 28-year-old performer's name on it, reports TheSmokingGun. The report says Kim (real name: Kimberly Jones) never bothered to show up in municipal court to answer certain charges. The charges stem from her arrest during a July 1996 search of the Teaneck home of Notorious B.I.G., the rapper born Christopher Wallace. When police executing a search warrant at Wallace's home found a marijuana stash and several handguns -- all of which had their serial numbers scratched off -- officers arrested the rapper and his posse. Lil' Kim was charged with marijuana possession while Wallace was hit with felony gun charges. But when Jones skipped court dates, an arrest warrant was issued for her. Wallace, of course, was never tried on gun and pot charges since he was slain in March 1997.
