LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "Dawson's Creek" star Michelle Williams will play a leading role in Wim Wenders' newest upcoming film for the Independent Film Channel's InDigEnt banner.
The untitled project also stars John Diehl and Richard Edson, two actors who have worked with Wenders previously in "The End of the Violence" and "Million Dollar Hotel," respectively. Besides reuniting with actors he trusts from their past collaborations, Wenders reveals that he and Michael Meredith had Williams in mind when they wrote the script, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "This is a low-budget production and we have little time," says Wenders. "So it is essential to know that you can rely 100 percent on your actors." The project begins production this week in Los Angeles. Wenders, an indie auteur with a career spanning over 30 years, is known for "Wings of Desire," "Paris, Texas" and "Buena Vista Social Club," which was nominated for a best documentary Oscar. Williams will appear next in another independent project, "The Station Agent," which opens Oct. 10 and was the winner of the audience award at this year's Sundance Film Festival. She is currently filming "Imaginary Heroes" opposite Sigourney Weaver and Jeff Daniels. ________________________________ Changes to your subscription (unsubs, nomail, digest) can be made by going to http://sandboxmail.net/mailman/listinfo/sndbox_sandboxmail.net
