Well ok I'll give you that. But at least they arent as bad as say some show like West Wing. If that is what ER is doing at least its not blatant right out there....well except for that Congo has no oil statement.

Yeah, it's coming out, but I don't think at all that's what they were trying to say.  I think the ER writers were trying to say that Bush's policy is wrong, and that's why the chicks reference was there because that's what they said.  Carter said "Congo has no oil, that's why no one cares"   I think it is a deliberate slap at the administration, and if they make it a weekly occurrence I'll boycott them just like I did the chicks.

I could care less if it is a priority or not. But I think b/c of what all is going on over there, they dont really care whats going on over here and they were trying to show that. What the chicks said about the war we are in doesnt really matter there....I hope this is coming out right.

I wonder why it *SHOULD* be one of our priorities?  If those bloody idiots want to kill each other, why should we care?  It's a civil war, let them fight it and we keep out of it.

I think in the episode of ER it was more of a reference to the fact that those things are really going on in the Congo but its not one of the U.S.'s main priorities at the moment, so they really dont care what the Dixie Chicks think. Or something to that effect

What's with all the pro-chicks references in TV programs.  They were mentioned at least twice in ER Thursday and on Angel Fred put up a Chicks poster in her new office.  What, the networks don't get it that the US people don't like the freaking chicks?
