Well
actually you can always pause whether you pay for it or not. You can pause
something for up to 30 minutes on ours then fast forward through the
commercials. It just gets on my nerves though that you have to pay to record,
but I guess if you think about it, even with a VCR you are paying for the tapes
you record on, but not always do you spend $5 a month on
tapes
Me too, that's why I was surprised
there was a extra fee.....isn't on vcr's..etc....
I mean satellite where your
getting channels I can see, but every month just to pause and record....seems
kinda odd....lol

Thats what got me. You record the stuff onto the harddrive
right.....well having to pay to store stuff on your hard drive seems to me
like buying a computer but having to pay something every month to d/l stuff
onto it.

Thats the one I have is direct tv with Tivo with the dual
tuners. I love it. How much is your monthly subscription to it
