I am sure you are right - despite what Catbert said. Personally, it was a really nasty working environment (hence the refusal of the company to accept any sort of compromise to avois working on Shabbat) and I doubt she really, truly wanted to go through the hassle to get her job back (or whatever settlement). (BTW - I looked up their web site yesterday now that I was thinking about it and it looks like they are in serious financial trouble and have closed the site I was working at. Couldn't happen to a nicer place... tee hee(

Reminds me of a prep cook friend who slipped and shattered her leg. While she was out on disability (complete bed rest) for two weeks, the place fired her for no cause - other than the fact that she had to be out for two weeks until her doctor would allow her to walk. She also didn't wish to get involved in trying to sue them.
