Woody Allen to write autobiography

NEW YORK -- A bidding war already has started and Woody Allen may have got exactly what he wanted for agreeing to write his life's story. The London Telegraph says the once reclusive celebrity has decided to write his autobiography. But in keeping with his unpredictable ways, Allen added a twist by telling publishers around the world he would do so only if the price was right. Agents for the 67-year-old are orchestrating auctions for his memoirs at the Frankfurt Book Fair and hope to come up with a package worth millions of dollars. To tempt buyers, Allen has promised to tell his side of the scandal that shocked the world when he ditched Mia Farrow, his long-standing girlfriend, for her adopted 21-year-old daughter, Soon-Yi, the report said. In his proposal to publishers, Allen confessed that he has broken most of the taboos imaginable during his lifetime. The book will fully cover his life and works and, given his obsession for baring his soul on screen, it is being pushed as one of the frankest memoirs likely to come out of the film industry
