Well, she didn't mind serving as president with a much larger predator.

Hillary on Arnold: I Don't Want to Serve With 'The Predator'

U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton referred to California Gov.-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger as "the predator" Wednesday night - in what sounded like a double entendre reference to the myriad of groping allegations leveled against the former Hollywood action star as well as his 1986 movie by the same name.

"I thought the recall was not a great idea," Mrs. Clinton told Comedy Central's Jon Stewart during an interview on "The Daily Show."

"I wish [Californians] well now - they've got a lot of big problems out there. I'm worried about serving in the Senate with the predator," said Mrs. Clinton, who failed to mention Gray Davis' history of violence against women.

The comment drew a bewildered reaction from national talk radio host Laura Ingraham, who aired the clip on her Thursday broadcast and said she wondered what Mrs. Clinton meant.

"She's worried about serving in the Senate now with the predator?" the conservative talker mused. "Who's the predator? Is Bill running for the Senate?"

Ingraham continued:

[Arnold's] not in the Senate, last time I checked. He's going to be the governor. I think [Hillary] goofed up that line."
