Cigarette Cases Making Comeback
The old-fashioned silver cigarette case is experiencing a surge in popularity in Britain as smokers attempt to evade health warnings printed on cartons. Cigarette case suppliers tell the London Telegraph sales have tripled in the past 10 months. The jump in sales coincides with the European Union's new health warning that takes up 30 percent of the front of a cigarette pack and 40 percent of the back. The warnings say "SMOKING KILLS" and "SMOKERS DIE YOUNGER." Cigarette case suppliers are expecting another jump in business in a year when the EU plans to add pictures of diseased lungs and mouths to the cigarette packs.
