SUNSCREEN MAY CARRY RISK
Studies suggest some sunscreens could be dangerous to one's health. Thomas Nordlund, physics professor at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, says energy transferred by some of the ingredients in some sunscreen might threaten healthy cells. "Ultraviolet light has a lot of energy, and if that energy does not dissipate quickly as it is absorb- ed by sunscreen, the energy can enter into healthy cells and do harm," he cautioned.
