Doctors on Wednesday were expected to remove a
feeding tube that has kept a severely brain-damaged woman alive for 13 years
after an appeals court refused to intervene, apparently ending a long legal
battle between her husband and her parents. Terri Schiavo, 39, was scheduled to
have the tube removed Wednesday afternoon and was expected to die within two
weeks. She has been in a vegetative state since suffering a heart attack in
1990. Click here to read more about this
story.
