Skywriting A Social Security Number

After days of cloudy skies delaying the event, a California consumer group hired a skywriter to write the first five digits of Citigroup's chief executive officer's Social Security number in the New York sky. The Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Right is protesting Citigroup-backed legislation in Congress it says will gut state privacy laws. FTCR disclosed part of Charles Prince's SS number, which it bought on the Internet for $30, to point out it's easy to obtain private information. The FTRC is outraged Citigroup is backing new federal legislation that would override state privacy laws that prevent banks from using consumers' personal information without their consent.
